After about a week of curing, garlic can be braided into bunches that are decorative and useful. Fully cured braids can be hung in the kitchen where the garlic is always within reach to be used to enhance culinary delights.
Some people prefer to braid when the garlic has cured for longer, in which case the leaves and stems may need to be dampened to create flexibility.

There are many videos of garlic braiding on YouTube and other websites.
To sell your braids through the co-op you need to attend the workshop on braiding, this way all co-op braids are uniform and good quality.

We didn't have long stalks on our garlic, so we braided the leaves. Some garlic has long stalks (particularly hardneck Turban). The long stalks can make a stunning braid.
