Garlic for the Discerning Garlic Lover
The members of the Braidwood Garlic Growers Co-operative are committed to producing the finest quality garlic for discerning garlic lovers. Our members grow garlic that is full of flavour without the use of chemicals and sprays. They also embrace regenerative agriculture techniques to support the local environment.
The Braidwood Garlic Difference
Braidwood and the surrounding districts have unique soils and a climate particularly suited to growing excellent garlic. The frosty winter mornings and hot summer days bring out the best in garlic flavours. This area of the Southern Tablelands in New South Wales with its distinct seasons and the late afternoon mist is particularly suited to growing garlic.
Working and Learning Together
The Braidwood Garlic Growers Co-op was formed so that our members can work co-cooperatively to grow garlic with superior taste and to market our garlic collectively. Our members strive to find the best varieties for our climate. It is encouraging that the cold winters of the Southern Tablelands enhance the flavours of the garlics and that a number of the garlic groups are well suited to this climate. Most members grow several varieties and some of our garlic is used for seed.
